Vase with winged handles

Blown glass, worked hot: the handles are drawn from the same metal as the body and pinched into wings while still soft, which is why no join shows. The wall is thin enough that the colour reads as a tint rather than a glaze. The scroll-handled vase came to the museum in the same bequest and was accessioned ten numbers away, 91.1.1212; the two are catalogued apart here because the handles are the whole of the difference.
